Newcastle vs West Ham prediction

It's been a worrying end to the season for Newcastle and Eddie Howe, with the Magpies having lost five of their last seven games across all competitions as they drift towards a bottom-half finish in the Premier League.

In many ways then, this could be seen as a favourable fixture for West Ham, who currently occupy the final relegation place but can temporarily leapfrog Tottenham - who play on Tuesday - with a win.

The Hammers have lost their last two games, which has resulted in their fate being out of their hands, but all they can do is focus on the task at hand here against a Newcastle side lacking in confidence.

West Ham have no choice but to go for the win at St James' Park, which should create an open contest that could well contain a few goals.

Newcastle vs West Ham tip: Over 2.5 goals
