Newcastle vs Tottenham prediction

Newcastle's 1-4 victory away to Everton on Saturday made it back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season, as they seek to edge towards the top half of the table.

It's been almost two months since the Magpies kept a clean sheet in the Premier League though, so Eddie Howe will be keen to see them tighten things up at the back over the busy Christmas period.

Tottenham made a terrible start against Fulham on Saturday and were never able to fully recover, with their 1-2 defeat to the Cottagers representing their third straight defeat in all competitions.

Winless in four, Thomas Frank will be feeling the pressure right now in what has been a stop-start beginning to his spell in charge of the club. Failure to achieve a positive result here would only increase the scrutiny he is under.

The returning Cristian Romero should help sure the visitors up in defence a little, but Newcastle have been scoring goals from a variety of sources recently and look the likelier victors on home turf.

Newcastle vs Tottenham tip: Newcastle to win
