In eight 2025 Pakistan Super League matches thus far, the Multan Sultans have managed just one victory with seven defeats. They now face a Peshawar Zalmi side that have given themselves a chance of finishing in the top four and reaching the end of season playoff places. They managed to defeat Islamabad United by six wickets the other day, chasing down the target of 144 in just 16.4 overs thanks to an unbeaten half-century from Babar Azam in 49 deliveries.
The Multan Sultans’ players will be coasting in the final couple of games most likely and that should help Peshawar Zalmi inch closer to a potential playoff berth in this season’s PSL.
