Ghana manager Carlos Queiroz has announced his 26-man squad for FIFA World Cup 2026.

Having been appointed a couple of months ago, Carlos Queiroz has now finally named his 26-man FIFA World Cup squad amid some controversies over the delay of it being announced.

The big but unsurprising and known news is that Tottenham Hotspur attacker Mohammed Kudus will miss the tournament, having missed a large chunk of the Premier League season due to injury.

Ghana do still possess some real quality in attack with Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo the star man alongside Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams, remaining captained by former Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew.

Thomas Partey is the vice-captain with Ghana also boasting some experience at the back, such as Abdul Mumin, Baba Rahman and Gideon Mensah.

Alongside Kudus, though, there are some notable absentees with defender Mohammed Salisu also missing through injury alongside Fiorentina full-back Tariq Lamptey, with Spartak Moscow’s Alexander Djiku something of a surprise absentee.

Ibrahim Osman and Majeed Ashimeru have also been left out alongside Abu Francis and former England U21 international winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
