Melbourne Victory vs Newcastle Jets prediction

The Melbourne Victory, with former assistant coach Arthur Diles at the helm, come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat of Macarthur at the Campbelltown Sports Stadium in their most recent outing last weekend. They have now enjoyed four victories in their last six matches as they seek to finish the regular season in the top-half of the 13-team A League table.

They now face a Newcastle Jets side that had been in good form for much of the last couple of months but they have now suffered three defeats in their last four matches. The most recent of which saw them suffer a 1-0 loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers at the Newcastle International Sports Centre last weekend.

These are two sides trending in different directions ahead of the end of the campaign and, with that and their home advantage, Melbourne Victory are the side to be sided with here.
