Melbourne City vs Sydney prediction

Melbourne City come into this one on the back of back-to-back draws with their most recent outing being a goalless draw against Adelaide United at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. They begin the penultimate match day of the regular season sitting second in the table after a five-match unbeaten run of form in the A League.

They now face a Sydney side that, under the management of Ufuk Talay, suffered a 1-0 loss to Western United at Ironbark Fields last weekend to continue their inconsistent campaign that leaves them sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table with their domestic campaign distracting from their run to the AFC Cup semi-finals, which they lost to the Lion City Sailors.

Melbourne City are seeking to continue to finish their season with a flourish and, with home advantage against inconsistent opposition, they are firm favourites for this one.
