Man Utd Preview: Stuttering start for Amorim
Ruben Amorim's first game in charge ended with a rather anti-climactic 1-1 draw at promoted side Ipswich last weekend, despite the fact the Red Devils made the perfect start when Marcus Rashford opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute.
They then made hard work of Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday, eventually winning 3-2, and Amorim will be under no illusion of the size of the task facing him.
Everton Preview: Grinding out results
Everton haven't exactly been easy on the eye lately but the fact is that they have lost just one of their last eight games in the Premier League, with Sean Dyche's men putting in some typically resilient displays as they stay above the relegation zone.
The Toffees remain toothless up front though, with no goals scored in their last three outings, and Dyche may feel that he needs to change things up in order to provide a greater attacking threat.
Man Utd Team News: Maguire back in training
Lisandro Martinez returned on Thursday and got an hour under his belt so he could feature from the start here, while fellow defender Harry Maguire has recently returned to training.
A knock kept Jonny Evans out of the Europa League tie, while Kobbie Mainoo was an unused substitute and he may not be ready to start just yet.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez; Diallo, Casemiro, Eriksen, Dalot; Fernandes, Garnacho; Rashford
Unavailable:
Questionable: Maguire (Fitness). Evans (Injured), Yoro (Fitness), Lindelof (Injured)
Everton Team News: Coleman back on the grass
The only one of Everton's injured quartet who could be involved on Sunday is Seamus Coleman with the veteran full-back having returned to training, but even his involvement is unlikely according to Dyche.
Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja will both take part in a under-21 game on Friday as they continue to build up their match fitness.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Doucoure, Gueye; Lindstrom, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin
Unavailable: Garner (Injured), Iroegbunam (Injured), Chermiti (Fitness), Broja (Fitness)
Questionable: Coleman (Fitness)
Man Utd vs Everton Prediction
Everton have made a habit of frustrating opponents lately and have largely succeeded in picking up points that way. This is another contest where they are likely to be on the back foot for large periods, but they are generally comfortable in those situations and in Jordan Pickford they have a goalkeeper who has saved them on many occasions.
Man Utd are very much a work in progress at this stage and it will clearly take some time for Amorim's methods to bed in. They will find Everton to be stubborn and well-organised, but with the Toffees offering very little at the other end of the pitch, a low-scoring encounter could ensue.
Man Utd vs Everton Tip: Under 2.5 goals
