They now face an Auxerre side that begin the 31st match day of the Ligue 1 campaign sitting in the relegation playoff place but just four points off outright safety with three successive draws after their 3-0 hammering of Stade Brest last month.
Auxerre are fighting hard and so it may not be the most fluent of matches but Lyon do have to remain firm favourites for this one on Saturday afternoon.
