Liverpool vs Chelsea prediction

Liverpool's three-game winning run in the Premier League was ended by bitter rivals Man Utd last week, with Arne Slot's side fighting back from a 2-0 deficit at Old Trafford only for the hosts to score the decisive goal via Kobbie Mainoo.

The Reds will now be looking to secure Champions League football next season, while also ensuring that the likes of Aston Villa and Bournemouth don't pip them to fourth place in the table.

They play host to a woefully out-of-form Chelsea side who have lost their last six Premier League fixtures, scoring just one goal in that stretch. There has been no improvement since Calum McFarlane took temporary charge of the squad, and they are in real danger of failing to make it into Europe next season.

Chelsea ended last season by winning the revamped FIFA Club World Cup, but they are a far cry from that right now. They look bereft of confidence and we expect Liverpool to bounce back with a victory in this fixture.
