In the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie, the Lincoln Red Imps pulled off a 3-2 victory at Djupumyrar in the Faroe Islands. They took a 19th minute lead via Bernardo Lopes before Jakup Johansen equalised. Lopes re-established their lead in the 31st minute ad then Tjay De Barr made it 3-1 with a penalty. Solvi Vatnhamar then pulled a goal back in first-half stoppage-time.
The Faroese outfit will be without Olaf Bardarson for the second-leg after he was sent off late on in that game. Lincoln Red Imps certainly have the better European pedigree of the two sides in recent seasons and they have a huge opportunity this week.
With Vikingur Gota likely to try and just throw everything at it, it perhaps falls even further into the hands of the hosts ahead of what could be quite a fun watch again.
