Lille Preview: Improved again Lille
Coached by former Olympique Lyonnais and Stade Rennais boss Bruno Genesio, Lille are enjoying an impressive campaign whereby they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top three and the automatic UEFA Champions League spots in Ligue 1.

Former Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi has cultivated a typically chaotic Olympique de Marseille side both on and off the pitch. As they continue to train in Rome at the manager’s behest, Marseille have entered into some improved form of late.
L’OM have now enjoyed three victories in their last four matches in Ligue 1 and they most recently defeated Stade Brest by four goals to one at the Stade Velodrome last weekend with former Nice forward Amine Gouiri notching a hat-trick for the southerners.

Lille play an easy on the eye style of football but it has often been stifled by a desire to overly complicate patterns of play and the lack of motivation following their UEFA Champions League exit in February did prompt a wobble but they appear to be over that now. They face a Marseille side that have been thrilling to watch throughout the campaign with their 31 Ligue 1 matches consisting of 109 goals.
