It is turning into a league campaign of what could have been for Lens, who drew their second straight Ligue 1 contest last time out, failing to make up any ground on table-toppers Paris Saint-Germain in the process.

Be that as it may, they are still only six points behind the French giants, who they face later this month, so all hope of an unlikely title is not lost yet.

They should certainly be winning this fixture against a Nantes outfit who are all but mathematically destined for the drop.

They did at least give themselves a fighting chance with a 3-0 win against out-of-form Marseille last time out, but even a relegation play-off place looks unlikely at this stage.
