Kazakhstan have been regressing in recent years, despite club teams improving of late, as they now welcome a fallible and inconsistent Belgium side to the Astana Arena.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Amazon Prime / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Kazakhstan are aiming to go unbeaten in three consecutive European World Cup qualifiers for the first time. They are also seeking back-to-back home wins in European World Cup qualifying — another potential first.
  • Belgium are unbeaten in the previous seven international matches between these teams with five wins and two draws. They have won the last five encounters.
  • Belgium are unbeaten in their last 34 World Cup qualifying matches (W27 D7), since a 2-0 away defeat against Estonia in October 2009.

Kazakhstan vs Belgium prediction

Kazakhstan come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with North Macedonia to all but end the North Macedonians push for qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That had come a few days after a defeat of Liechtenstein and Liechtenstein are the only team they have beaten in their last 18 matches.

They now face a Belgium side that, under the management of Rudi Garcia, have performed poorly and yet got themselves some results that have been required, such as in the UEFA Nations League promotion/relegation playoff place. The Red Devils sit at the top of Group J, despite that aforementioned draw with North Macedonia.

Belgium have been done a favour by the Kazakhs ahead of this one and they should win it quite comfortably in Astana, albeit they are fallible.

Kazakhstan vs Belgium tip: Belgium to win -1 handicap
