Jaume Munar vs Casper Ruud Prediction

Jaume Munar is enjoying a fantastic week in Dallas as the Spaniard has beaten two seeds en route to the semis. After stunning Ben Shelton in the round of 16, he came through a three-setter against eighth seed Matteo Arnaldi on Friday to make it to the semis.

He will now have to overcome another seed in the semis if he is to make it to the final. He meets second-seed Casper Ruud who he played in the Australian Open just a couple of weeks ago and was knocked out by the Norwegian after a five-set thriller.

The head-to-head between the two lies in Ruud’s favour as he has won three of the four previous meetings so Munar is going to have to produce something close to his best to upset the second seed.

Ruud was leading 7-5 3-2 against Japanese number one Yoshihito Nishioka before his opponent was forced to retire from the match.

Ruud will be fresh and ready to go here and with his strong record against Munar including the win just a couple of weeks ago, the Norwegian should just have the edge to get through here. There is no real value on him however so consider game betting as there is every chance this one goes deep.
