Jalin Turner: 29-year-old eager to bounce back from three losses in last four
Jalin Turner (14-8) is coming off a TKO loss at the hands of Renato Moicano at UFC 300 which was almost a year ago and he will be hoping to get back to winning ways here. That loss was his third in his last four bouts but the other two losses to Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot was narrow split-decision losses. Sandwiched between the Hooker and Moicano losses, was a knockout win over Bobby Green and Turner will be looking to rekindle that magic and produce the goods against Bahamondes.
Ignacio Bahamondes: Chilean talent coming off back-to-back Performance of the Night wins
Ignacio Bahamondes (16-5) is a fighter on the rise as he has won his last two fights by knockout and has won five of his last six fights overall. Three of those five wins have earned him Performance of the Night bonuses and the Chilean is managing to move up the levels with every fight. This bout offers Bahamondes with an opportunity to beat a top 15 fighter and potentially move into the rankings himself.

This is a quality fight on the main card at UFC 313 and it will be interesting to see who emerges victorious out of Jalin Turner and Ignacio Bahamondes.
Turner has been fighting at a high level for quite some time and while his record shows three losses in his last four, those have come against the likes of Moicano and Hooker.
Bahamondes has not fought the same kind of calibre of opponent but he is on something of a tear and he looks capable of developing further.
Both fighters possess good knockout power and it is hard to see this one going the distance. Turner has a height advantage but the reach is similar.
If it does come down to a slugfest, we have to favour Bahamondes to get the win here. His punch resistance is clearly better than Turner’s who has been knocked out four times in his career and Turner ultimately is the easier fighter to hit. We think the younger and fresher fighter gets the win here.
