Having finished second in the table behind a dominant Peshawar Zalmi side, Islamabad United then succumbed to a 70-run hammering at the hands of Peshawar in the first qualifier the other day, despite a strong start of getting to 58-0 after four overs in their chase of 222.

Hyderabad Kingsmen finished fourth but they produced an emphatic eight-wicket hammering of the Multan Sultans to reach the eliminator with an excellent unbeaten 64 from 33 balls by opening batter 20-year-old Maaz Sadaqat.

The form of Shadab Khan will be crucial here and the Islamabad all-rounder, the second leading wicket taker in the tournament, will be expected to pick up at least a couple of wickets as we hit the pointy end of the campaign.
