Ireland vs Armenia prediction

The Republic of Ireland began UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a stirring comeback to share a 2-2 draw with Hungary last month before a 2-1 loss to Armenia in Yerevan. The Irish then succumbed to a slender defeat to Portugal in Lisbon the other day with Heimur Hallgrimsson coming under a bit of pressure.

They face an Armenia side that come into this one on the back of a 2-0 loss to the aforementioned Hungarians in Budapest at the weekend. Armenia had began their qualifying campaign with a 5-0 loss at home to Portugal before they managed that win against the Irish.

Ireland had appeared to have been improving under Hallgrimsson and they will want to restore some sort of order with a victory, albeit likely slender, in Dublin this week.

Ireland vs Armenia tip: Ireland to win & under 3.5 goals
