That means that the Floridians have now suffered just two defeats in their last 11 matches across all competitions since FIFA Club World Cup elimination.
They face a Tigres UANL side that most recently suffered a 3-1 loss at home to Club America at the weekend. That came a week after they had dispatched of Puebla by seven goals to nil in Liga MX. In the group stages of this competition, they collected six points from three games with a loss to LAFC to finish off that phase.
Inter Miami, with their home advantage, will be viewed as the overwhelming favourites to ease their way through to the semi-finals of this season’s Leagues Cup.
