India vs Pakistan prediction

Back in 2017, the ICC Champions Trophy in England was won by Pakistan. After being thrashed by India earlier in the tournament, they came back to beat their fierce rivals in the final. Fast forward all the way to 2025 and this Pakistan would love to replicate the story, having lost twice to India already in this competition, both in the group stage and Super Four. But those games are irrelevant at this point, all that matters is the final and Pakistan come into it in good shape following consecutive wins over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively.

India have been the best team in this year’s Asia Cup and it hasn’t been close. They’ve won six games from six, although they did need a Super Over to get the better of Sri Lanka last time out. That includes their two wins over Pakistan which saw the Indian batters dominate on both occasions in successful run chases.

Understandably, India will be favourites. They are a stronger overall unit, but if any side can catch fire on the biggest occasion to cause a shock it would be Pakistan with their pacy bowling attack. Despite this though, India have to be favoured to complete a hat-trick over their rivals and win the Asia Cup.
