Harriet Dart made it three straight wins including qualifying after defeating Tatiana Prozorova in three sets at the Guangzhou Open. The Briton won a topsy turvy match, winning 6-4 2-6 6-2 after two hours and 15 minutes. There were 11 breaks of serve throughout the contest, with Dart coming out on top to secure another tour-level victory. She now faces Janice Tjen for a place in the last eight.

Tjen stormed past Polina Kudermetova to set up a meeting with Dart. She needed just 58 minutes to win 6-2 6-2. Tjen did not concede a break point and won 88% of her points on first serve. The 24-year-old bounced back after losing her opening match to Ashlyn Krueger in Osaka last week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Tjen to reach a first tour-level quarter-final of the campaign, and she will be difficult to stop if she replicates her performance from the previous round here.
