Hamrun Spartans vs Dynamo Kyiv prediction

In the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League earlier this month, Maltese champions Hamrun Spartans managed to defeat Lithuanian winners Zalgiris Vilnius after extra-time. They suffered a 2-0 loss to Zalgiris, before winning 2-0 in the second-leg, and then progressing on penalties against the Lithuanians.

They now face a Dynamo Kyiv side that, coached by Oleksandr Shovovsky, took advantage of Shakhtar Donetsk collapsing to third in the table to ensure that they won their 17th Ukrainian Premier League title last season. They will expect to push for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League this week.

The Ukrainians are giants, even in the UEFA Champions League, and they will expect to flex their muscles in both legs, so they are firm favourites for this one.
