In their opening game of the 2026 Twenty20 Blast campaign, Glamorgan succumbed to a three-run loss to the Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Wantage Road. The Welsh managed to stay in it with Dan Douthwaite and Mason Crane before just falling short.

Gloucestershire, on the other hand, put a poor start to the County Championship behind them by hammering the Warwickshire Bears by 47 runs. Skittling the Bears for 74, Duan Jansen starred with the ball for the Freaks with 4-25.

Gloucestershire benefitted from a shootout in Bristol on Friday but this should be a bit firmer and more orthodox this time around, with Glamorgan a decent bet to bounce back.
