The home team have now enjoyed three successive victories in all competitions and they are now unbeaten in their last eight matches. They now face a Rio Ave side that, following promotion last season, begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table after a relatively impressive Primeira Liga season so far. A draw would appear the likeliest outcome for this one.
