Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus begin this weekend’s round of fixtures very much involved in the Italian title race as they challenge to regain the Serie A championship for the first time in four years. The Old Lady come into this one on the back of grinding out yet another important victory last weekend, defeating Frosinone by two goals to one.
The Turin-based club have managed 12 victories in Serie A so far this season with their last eight wins all coming by just a solitary goal. Allegri’s tactical style is well known and well discussed with the idea of winning being the only thing that matters very much representative of Juventus’ general ‘DNA’.
ROMA
Despite beginning the season really slowly and suggestions that another third season meltdown was about to happen to Jose Mourinho and one of his teams, Roma have managed to generally steady the ship and are in contention for the top four and the UEFA Champions League places. However, the capital city club do come into this one on the back of an unconvincing month.
The visitors’ most recent outing saw them defeat nine-man and out of form Napoli by two goals to nil at the Stadio Olimpico, last weekend. The Romans had previously collected just one point from their previous two matches against Fiorentina and Bologna, respectively. They remain in the hunt for a top four spot.

Juventus’ style is exactly what they have become accustomed to and want under Massimiliano Allegri, whilst Jose Mourinho and Roma are a match made in heaven as Mourinho drags his Roman side towards any kind of silverware by any means necessary. This is not expected to be a thriller for the neutral and a low-scoring encounter with under 2.5 goals would appear quite likely at the J Stadium.
