THE LOWDOWN
AC MILAN
AC Milan come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Borussia Dortmund in their most recent outing, during the week, in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. The Rossoneri are not entirely out of the competition but would need a bit of a miracle after reaching the semi-finals last season.
This campaign had started so brightly but Stefano Pioli, who guided Milan to the Italian title in 2022, is coming under a bit of pressure. They begin this weekend now sitting six points off their city rivals, Internazionale, at the top-of-the-table. They have managed just three victories in their last ten matches across all competitions.
FROSINONE
Under the management of former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, Frosinone have enjoyed a bright start to life back in Serie A. The Roman club begin this match day sitting just about in the top-half of the table with five victories, three draws and five defeats in their opening 13 matches of the campaign.
They come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat of Genoa, who gained promotion from Serie B alongside them last season. That has made it two victories in their last three matches as they continue to try and play a progressive and more proactive style of football in the Italian top-flight with 40 goals coming in their 13 matches so far this season.

THE PREDICTION
Stefano Pioli’s men have lacked a potency in attack with a lot of vulnerability at the back so, combined with their injuries, it is perhaps no surprise they have been so consistent in the last couple of months. They now face a Frosinone side that will go to San Siro and attempt to simply get at Milan, which they will attempt to perhaps naively do in every game. The Rossoneri are favourites and will be expected to get over the line but it could be an entertaining encounter.
BETTING TIP: MILAN TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
