Bordeaux’s three-game winning run came to an end with an agonising injury-time defeat to Lyon last Friday and they now face another title-contender in the form of Lille, who leapt to the top of the Ligue 1 table over the weekend courtesy of PSG slipping up. That is now four straight wins for Christophe Galtier’s side – a first for them in the league this season – and they have made a habit of grinding out wins despite not playing at their best.
