A list of FIFA Club World Cup Golden Ball Winners

The Golden Ball is the award that is given to the player of the tournament and there are a host of famous names that have landed the award over the years.

Brazilian Edilson won the maiden award in the opening tournament back in 2000 with fellow countryman Kaka another big-name to secure the trophy in 2007. Wayne Rooney, Samuel Eto’o, Franck Ribery, Luis Suarez, Luka Modric, Luis Suarez, Mo Salah, Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo are other names synonymous with European football fans while Lionel Messi is the only player to have won the award on more than one occasion with the Argentine landing the Golden Ball in both 2009 and 2011.
