FPL Gameweek 7 – TSZ Top Picks
As the deadline for Gameweek 7 of Fantasy Premier League edges ever closer following the week’s Champions League, Europa League and Conference League fixtures, all of us at Team TSZ has put together our squad of top picks for this specific gameweek, taking into account form, fixtures and pedigree. The squad is within the allocated FPL budget.

Goalkeepers
No surprises in the goalkeeper department, David Raya (€6.1m) gets the nod as he hunts for his fourth Arsenal clean sheet in this season’s Premier League away at Nottingham Forest. Raya is coming off the back of a second consecutive Champions League shut out for the Gunners in midweek. Michael Zetterer (£4.0m) fills the bench as a cheap second-choice goalkeeper who won’t be used.
Defenders
We triple up on Arsenal by adding Riccardo Calafiori (£5.9m and Ezri Konsa (£4.6m) to the mix, with Calafiori an attacking threat as proven last week when he scored against Leeds. Josko Gvardiol (£5.8m) boasts 41 FPL points this season and an assist in each of his last three league games. He comes in with Man City hosting Ipswich. Then we have Maxim De Cuyper (£5.8m), arguably the best FPL asset of the season with the joint-most points of any player. Playing in an advanced position on the left-hand side, his goal, clean sheet and 15-point haul in Gameweek 6 further emphasised his appeal. Brighton host Crystal Palace this weekend.
Midfielders
The only player to have matched De Cuyper’s FPL score this campaign so far is Brighton teammate Pascal Gross(£6.0m), who also makes the cut with two goals, four assists and 37 points across the last three gameweeks. A Chelsea midfield double-up of Cole Palmer (£9.7m) and Morgan Rogers (£7.9m) feels essential as the Blues continue to rack up goals under Xabi Alonso. The pair have combined for 74 FPL points this season. Man City midfielder Rayan Cherki(£7.9m) gets the nod against Ipswich, although he is a rotation risk with Enzo Maresca no doubt tempted to shuffle his pack as he navigates a busy schedule. Cherki boasts the second highest FPL points tally in his position. In-form Hull midfielder Mohamed Belloumi (£5.2m) completes our midfield.
Forwards
The vast majority of FPL managers will understandably captain Erling Haaland (£15.6m) as he looks to find the net for a sixth consecutive Premier League game. The Norwegian marksman is coming off the back of a brace at home to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League midweek. Despite Chelsea’s past struggles when facing Everton in Merseyside, a red-hot Joao Pedro (£7.8m) is nailed in our squad to complete a Blues attacking triple-up. He goes up against Thierno Barry (£5.7m), who completes our squad as a low-priced enabler who has scored in each of his last two league fixtures.
