FPL Gameweek 10 – TSZ Top Picks

As the deadline for Gameweek 10 of Fantasy Premier League draws closer following the midweek round of European fixtures, all of us at Team TSZ have put together our squad of top picks for this upcoming gameweek, with form, fixtures and pedigree all taken into consideration. The squad is within the allocated FPL budget even when taking into account price rises.

Goalkeepers

With Arsenal's notoriously strong backline at home to Hull City in Gameweek 10, selecting the best goalkeeper in the Premier League is a no-brainer. David Raya (£6.2m) has accumulated the most FPL points of any player in his position and boasts six clean sheets in the top flight so far this season. As has been the case over the last few weeks, Michael Zetterer (£4.0m) is in as a placeholder.

Defenders

Doubling up on Arsenal's defence is also wise, which would make it a triple-up when including Raya. Jurrien Timber (£6.5m) started and played 90 minutes in the Gunners' 1-0 victory away at Liverpool last weekend, and is likely to get the nod again in Gameweek 10. Alongside him is the generously priced Ezri Konsa (£4.8m), however FPL managers should be cautious, as Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admitted in his midweek post-match press conference that Konsa wasn't fully fit. With that in mind, it would be wise to wait for an update prior to the Gameweek 10 deadline.

Maxime De Cuyper (£5.4m), arguably the most valuable FPL asset around right now, is also a must-own, with high-flying Brighton taking on Brentford. The defence is completed by Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong (£4.5m), who travels away to struggling Sunderland, and Coventry City’s Milan van Ewijk (£3.9m), another placeholder that helps keep the squad within budget.

Midfielders

The top three FPL midfielders so far this campaign have all made it into our Gameweek 10 squad. Pascal Gross (£6.2m) completes a Brighton double-up with De Cuyper, while Marcus Tavernier (£6.6m) is the sole Bournemouth representative as the Cherries head to Ipswich. There is also a Chelsea double-up of Morgan Rogers (£8.2m) and Cole Palmer (£9.8m), both of whom were on the scoresheet against Man Utd last time out, while Jack Rudoni (£4.9m) completes the midfield. On penalties for Coventry, Rudoni has scored in three of his last four Premier League appearances.

Forwards

Two cheaper forward assets complement the expensive Erling Haaland (£15.8m) in Gameweek 10. Haaland endured a rare blank in Gameweek 9 as Man City were shut out by Brighton, but he responded well in midweek by scoring the winner against RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The Norwegian will be determined to add to his nine Premier League goals this season against Nottingham Forest.

The red-hot Nicolas Jackson (£7.0m) also makes it in, following three goals and 22 FPL points from Aston Villa's last two league games. Completing the squad is Thierno Barry (£5.6m), another in-form forward, who scored Everton's only goal in Gameweek 9, earning him nine FPL points. He has now scored three goals in his last five top-flight appearances.
