Fiorentina preview: Topsy turvy time in Tuscany
Fiorentina spent heavily over the summer and appointed Fabio Grosso but the former Sassuolo boss was sacked last week after three successive defeats with former boss Paolo Vanoli returning and earning back-to-back wins to kick off his second reign.
I Viola came from behind to entertainingly defeat Venezia by four goals to two last weekend before they then eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Serie B outfit Pisa in the round of 32 of the Coppa Italia the other day.
Napoli preview: Indifferent Neapolitans
Massimiliano Allegri and his ultra conservative style head into this one on the back of his Napoli side having earned themselves a slender but again underwhelming 1-0 defeat of Bologna last week with a second half winner scored by Stanislav Lobotka.
The Partenopei have won two and lost three of their five matches across all competitions so far this season with those two wins being fairly unconvincing against poor and still pointless Genoa and Bologna sides.
Fiorentina team news: Parisi out
Fiorentina do not have any fresh injury concerns or suspension issues with midfielder Fabiano Parisi working his way back from an ACL injury sustained in May.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): David de Gea; Alex Jimenez, Dragusin, Ranieri, Viery; Ndour, Fagioli, Atta; Mastantuono, Beto, Njie
Unavailable: Parisi (Injured)

Napoli team news: Key absentees
Having been forced off in a recent UEFA Champions League loss to Arsenal, first-choice goalkeeper Alex Meret is now sidelined alongside the likes of Alessandro Buongiorno and Scott McTominay.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Milinkovic-Savic; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Rafa Marin, Spinazzola; Gilmour, Lobotka, De Bruyne; Politano, Hojlund, Vergara
Unavailable: Meret (Injured), Buongiorno (Injured), Marianucci (Injured), McTominay (Illness), Giovane (Injured), Alisson Santos (Injured)
Questionable: Anguissa (Injured)
Fiorentina vs Napoli prediction
Napoli have only beaten teams yet to win this season and they have struggled when coming up against competence or quality. Fiorentina would have fallen into the first category just a week or so ago but their big money summer, and the form of last week’s hat-trick hero Franco Mastantuono, has already indicated a shift and so perhaps siding with Fiorentina here is good value.
Fiorentina vs Napoli tip: Double chance – Fiorentina to win or draw
