Fajng Sun vs Roman Safiullin prediction

Fajing Sun has already produced two good wins to reach the Hangzhou Open main draw. The Chinese qualifier recovered from a set down to beat Matthew Dellavedeova before defeating Bernard Tomic in the final qualifying round. These victories continue a decent spell over the past few weeks. He competed at the Guangzhou Challenger, beating Alexis Galarneau before losing a tight three setter to Alberto Binda, while he also reached the quarter-finals in Zhangjiagang earlier this month.

Roman Safiullin has not played since the US Open, where he was beaten by seven-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one Carlos Alcaraz in the opening round. His most impressive result of the campaign was his superb run from qualifying to the round-of-16 at Wimbledon, which included fine wins over Andrey Rublev and Joao Fonseca. He even took a set off Novak Djokovic, before losing to the Serb in four. 

Sun has already played himself into these conditions and should be able to make this a competitive encounter, despite Safiullin being the clear favourite.
