Jaime Faria vs Terence Atmane prediction

Jaime Faria arrives in Hangzhou at a career high of 68 in the rankings after a productive summer on the North American hard courts. His standout run occurred in Cincinnati as he recorded his first-top 10 victory against Ben Shelton and followed it up with a comeback win over Adam Walton. Faria advanced to the round-of-16 at a Masters event for the first time, but his run ended against Lorenzo Musetti. At the US Open, he survived a five set battle with Jenson Brooksby and then took the first set against seven-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz before losing in four.

Terence Atmane has not played since suffering a painful five set defeat to Jaume Munar in the opening round of the US Open. The Frenchman won the opening two sets but struggled with cramps as the match wore on. 

Atmane leads the head-to-head 1-0, having edged past Faria four years ago in Portugal on the ITF circuit. However, Faria is making strong progress at the moment and has been the more consistent player in recent months.
