Fabian Marozsan is the sixth seed at the Hangzhou Open. He suffered a disappointing first-round defeat at the US Open, losing in three sets to Michael Zheng. The Hungarian had been in much better form immediately before New York, reaching the Winston-Salem quarter-finals after beating Miomir Kecmanovic and Martin Damm, before a loss to James Duckworth. Marozsan has reached ATP semi-finals in Auckland, Bucharest and Mallorca this year. He is ranked 59 in the world.

Alex Bolt has already won two matches in Hangzhou after coming through qualifying. The Australian beat Omar Jasika before overcoming Akira Santillan in the final stage. Bolt struck eight aces against Santillan and recovered well after dropping the middle set to win 6-1 2-6 6-4. The 33-year-old’s best result of 2026 came at the Brisbane Challenger in February, where he progressed to the final.

Bolt’s left-handed serve could cause problems, while he also has momentum from qualifying, but Marozsan is an established tour-level player and will be expected to win comfortably.
