Eintracht Frankfurt Team News: Marmoush potentially departing

Egypt international striker Omar Marmoush has scored two in two since the winter break but he may well have departed the club by the weekend ahead of a possible move to Manchester City.

Frankfurt do have a few injury issues, including centre-back Aurele Amenda, whilst key man Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe remains doubtful due to illness after missing the win against Freiburg.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Trapp; Collins, Koch, Theate; Kristensen, Brown, Skhiri, Gotze, Larsson; Marmoush, Ekitike

Unavailable: Amenda (Injured), Loune (Injured), Wenig (Injured), Bahoya (Injured)

Borussia Dortmund Team News: Illness issues

Borussia Dortmund have sold forward Donyell Malen to Aston Villa this week but they have had several players return from illness throughout this campaign ahead of the trip to Frankfurt.

Waldemar Anton and Nico Schlotterbeck were among those that returned in midweek, whilst Jamie Bynoe-Gittens once again started and scored after being a doubt, too.

Predicted XI (4-1-4-1): Kobel; Ryerson, Can, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini; Nmecha; Duranville, Sabitzer, Brandt, Bynoe-Gittens; Guirassy

Unavailable: Sule (Injured)

Questionable: Mane (Illness), Adeyemi (Illness)

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction

Dino Toppmoller’s side began the year with a hard-fought 1-0 win against St Pauli in Hamburg and they backed that up by hammering Freiburg by four goals to one the other day thanks to goals from Robin Koch, Omar Marmoush, Hugo Ekitike and Nnamdi Collins. They take on a Borussia Dortmund side that were fortunate to only lose 3-2 by Bayer Leverkusen last weekend before then suffering a shock 4-2 loss to struggling Holstein Kiel in midweek in a game in which they were 3-0 down by the hour mark. Frankfurt will be favourites for this one, especially with their home advantage, and it is expected to be quite a high-scoring and entertaining clash.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund Tip: Over 2.5 goals
