The Dominican Republic come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Martinique in November. That does mean they have only lost to 2026 FIFA World Cup entrants Uruguay and Jordan in their last five matches.
El Salvador, on the other hand, endured a difficult third round of CONCACAF qualifying for the aforementioned tournament in the autumn, with five successive defeats after beginning with a win against Guatemala.
El Salvador performed well to be at that stage of qualifying, though, and they are 42 places higher than their opponents - and should be aided with in a likely low-scoring affair.
