Crystal Palace find themselves involved in a relegation battle as they now welcome a genuinely battling Wolverhampton Wanderers side to Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace preview: Struggling Palace

Crystal Palace come into this one on the back of a very underwhelming performance in midweek as they shared a 1-1 draw with Zrinjski Mostar in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League knockout playoff round tie in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The home team come into this one on the back of some very poor form across all competitions, including a recent 3-2 loss at home to Burnley, and the pressure is growing on Oliver Glasner.

Wolves preview: Steady Wolves

Rob Edwards and his Wolverhampton Wanderers side are Championship-bound but they have been able to show some real fight with two defeats in their last ten matches across all competitions.

Most recently, Wolves dented Arsenal’s title hopes in midweek as they came from 2-0 down to share a 2-2 draw with the league leaders at Molineux, courtesy of a last gasp equaliser scored by Tom Edozie.

Crystal Palace team news: Plenty of injuries

It looks as though defender Maxence Lacroix will now miss out for the hosts due to an adductor injury picked up against Zrinjski, while Chadi Riad is also a doubt for Palace.

Jean-Philippe Mateta remains sidelined for the hosts alongside Eddie Nketiah but Jorgen Strand Larsen is ready to face his former club at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Clyne, Richards, Riad; Munoz, Hughes, Wharton, Mitchell; Sarr, Johnson; Strand Larsen

Unavailable: Doucoure (Injured), Lerma (Injured), Mateta (Injured), Nketiah (Injured)

Questionable: Lacroix (Injured), Riad (Injured)

Wolves team news: Angel Gomes to be fine

Having had to come off against Arsenal due to a back injury, Angel Gomes is expected to be fit and available for this one with Rob Edwards not yet dealing with any other concerns.

Portugal international centre-back Toti could be back involved but South Korea international attacker Hwang Hee-chan does remain sidelined for the visitors.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Mosquera, S. Bueno, Krejci; Tchatchoua, A. Gomes, Andre, H. Bueno; Bellegarde, Mane; Armstrong

Unavailable: Hwang (Injured), Chiwone (Injured)

Questionable: Toti (Injured), A. Gomes (Injured)

Crystal Palace vs Wolves prediction

This one is not expected to be a thriller for the neutral. Glasner’s best football comes when Palace play reactively and on the counter-attack but they have struggled to find much fluency when playing against more defensive teams. Wolves travel down to the capital city showing fight but still, obviously, lacking quality, and so a low-scoring encounter appears likely for this one in Croydon.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves tip: Under 2.5 goals
