The Central Coast Mariners were last season’s A League regular season winners but they have this season massively struggled as they now take on fellow strugglers the Brisbane Roar.

Central Coast Mariners vs Brisbane Roar prediction

The Central Coast Mariners come into this one on the back of a 2-2 draw with Macarthur at the Central Coast Stadium in their most recent outing in New South Wales last weekend in a game in which they took a 1-0 and 2-1 lead. They have won just five games in 25 this season, having won 17 of last season’s 27 regular season matches.

Brisbane Roar, on the other hand, finished ninth in the 12-team table last season but are now 12th in the 13-team table. The Queenslanders most recently continued a mini improvement in their form, though, as their 1-0 defeat of the Wellington Phoenix last weekend means they have now collected seven points from their last three games.

Given the poor form and massive regression from the Central Coast Mariners, siding with Brisbane Roar for this one appears the way to go in terms of the best value.
