Carabobo vs Botafogo prediction

Carabobo are one of the weaker sides in the 32-team group stage with the Venezuelans always expected to finish bottom of the group. They have collected just a point from their opening three group stage games but do come into this one on the back of a come from behind 3-1 defeat of Metropolitanos at Estadio Olimpico de la UCV in Caracas at the weekend.

They now face a Botafogo side that, with the ownership of John Textor and under the management of Renato Paiva, won the 2024 Brazilian Serie A title but their 2-0 defeat to Bahia in the league the other day means that they have now won just four of their last 17 matches across all competitions.

One of those four wins was in the reverse fixture between these two as they comfortably defeated Carabobo by two goals to nil last month and are expected to do so again.
