Brighton preview: Pressure-easing win for Hurzeler

After a run of three straight defeats without scoring, and seven Premier League games without a win, Brighton picked up a much-needed three points last weekend with a somewhat unexpected 0-2 victory away at Brentford.

The Seagulls, in 14th position ahead of the weekend's fixtures, will still be cautiously looking over their shoulders though, with Sunday's opponents one of the teams they will be keen to keep below them.

Nottingham Forest preview: In a dogfight

There was late heartbreak for Nottingham Forest last weekend, with Liverpool claiming a last gasp 1-0 win at the Etihad as Alexis Mac Allister scored with virtually the last kick of the game.

Very much embroiled in the battle to avoid relegation, Forest are still involved in European competition having progressed to the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, despite losing the second leg of their chaotic tie with Fenerbahce.

Brighton team news: Ayari could be an option

Long-term absentees Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas are the only two players certain to miss the visit of Forest.

Yasin Ayari could make the squad after joining team training in the latter part of the week, while Solly March is getting closer to a return after his lengthy lay-off.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Verbruggen; Wieffer, Van Hecke, Dunk, Kadioglu; Milner, Hinshelwood, Gross; Gomez, Welbeck, Mitoma

Unavailable: Webster (Injured), Tzimas (Injured)

Questionable: March (Fitness), Ayari (Injured)

Nottingham Forest team news: Goalkeeper concerns

Vitor Pereira's has something of a goalkeeper crisis to contend with as Matz Sels and John Victor are currently sidelined while Stefan Ortega picked up a knock in the Europa League on Thursday, although the Forest boss thinks the latter has a decent chance of recovery.

Elsewhere Willy Boly, Nicolo Savona and Chris Wood occupy the Forest treatment room.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Ortega; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Sangare, Anderson; Hutchinson, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Jesus

Unavailable: John (Injured), Sels (Injured), Boly (Injured), Savona (Injured), Wood (Injured)

Questionable: Ortega (Injured)

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest prediction

Fabian Hurzeler has come under a lot of scrutiny lately so he was a relieved man when he saw his side come away from Brentford with three points last weekend. The Brighton boss will be desperately hoping his side can go on a run now and secure their Premier League safety.

At Forest, meanwhile, Vitor Pereira - the East Midlands side's fourth manager of the season - is still finding his feet, with this his fifth game in charge of the relegation-battling club.

Fatigue could be an issue for the visitors after Thursday's Europa League commitments, so Brighton - buoyed by last weekend's victory - are fancied to take the three points, especially as Forest may need to field their fourth-choice goalkeeper.
