Brentford Preview: Bees’ push for Europe
Coached by Danish boss Thomas Frank, Brentford begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom-half of the table but just a couple of points outside of the top eight or nine and potential UEFA Europa Conference League qualification from the Premier League.
The Bees come into this one on the back of back-to-back victories after a 4-2 defeat of Brighton and Hove Albion was followed up a 2-0 defeat of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in midweek thanks to goals from Kevin Schade and Yoane Wissa.
Man Utd Preview: Focus on Europe
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United remain tucked inside the bottom-half of the Premier League table as the Red Devils endure a miserable campaign in which they have managed just ten victories in their 34 matches throughout the season.
They do, though, come into this one on the back of a remarkable 3-0 defeat of Athletic Club in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final at San Mames in midweek thanks to a first-half brace from Bruno Fernandes as well as a Casemiro header.
Brentford Team News: A few injuries
Following Brentford's defeat of Nottingham Forest the other day, Thomas Frank doesn't appear to have to be dealing with any fresh concerns ahead of the visit of Manchester United this weekend. They have welcomed Scotland international Aaron Hickey and club record signing Igor Thiago to full training recently.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Flekken; Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Yarmolyuk; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade; Wissa
Unavailable: Janelt (Injured), Dasilva (Injured), Carvalho (Injured)
Questionable: Hickey (Fitness), Thiago (Fitness)
Man Utd Team News: Probable rotation
Given the fact that Manchester United have the second-leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final against Athletic Club at Old Trafford coming up this midweek, Ruben Amorim is expected to rotate a bit this weekend with Matthijs de Ligt and Amad Diallo returning to the squad in midweek.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro; Dorgu, Mainoo, Casemiro, Shaw; Diallo, Fernandes; Hojlund
Unavailable: Heaven (Injured), Martinez (Injured), Mazraoui (Injured), Dalot (Injured), Collyer (Injured), Zirkzee (Injured)

Brentford vs Man Utd Prediction
Brentford have enjoyed some excellent performances against Manchester United at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Bees will attempt to play with high intensity once again with an exciting front four of Bryan Mbeumo, Mikkel Damsgaard, Kevin Schade and Yoane Wissa. Up against a United side that are distracted by their European tie and the fact that they are winless in five Premier League matches, Brentford should be seen as favourites for this one in west London.
