Brann vs Salzburg prediction

Norwegian outfit Brann qualified for this season’s UEFA Champions League by finishing second in the Eliteserien last season. They entered the UEFA Europa Conference League in the last two seasons, being knocked out in the playoff round on both occasions against AZ Alkmaar and then against Astana.

They now face a Salzburg side that, coached by Thomas Letsch, majorly underperformed across all competitions last season with Pep Lijnders at the helm for half off it. Now, after failing to make it through the group stages of the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer, they are having to rebuild.

Salzburg will be expected to take the game to Brann as the dominant side with a lot of European pedigree, and so they are viewed as firm favourites for this one.

Brann vs Salzburg tip: Salzburg to win
