FIGHT PREDICTION
Takuma Inoue, the former WBC interim bantamweight title holder, is coming into this bout with a record of 18 victories to just one defeat, most recently beating Liborio Solis by unanimous decision in Tokyo in April. 32-year-old Filippino fighter Jerwin Ancajas, who held the IBF junior-bantamweight title between 2016 and 2022, recovered from back-to-back losses to defeat Wilner Soto by technical knockout in June. This one was originally scheduled for November 2023 but was cancelled as a result of Inoue suffering a broken rib. The Japanese fighter is now fit and is the heavy favourite for this one. Ancajas has the fighting experience over his opponent but Inoue, especially with a home crowd and looking to exploit Ancajas’ tough initial step up into this division, should be backed.
