Bournemouth Preview: Cherries’ big win
Andoni Iraola is being heavily linked with a move away from AFC Bournemouth this summer but he could well still deliver a first ever European qualification for the Cherries as they begin the 36th match day of the campaign sitting tucked inside the top eight of the Premier League.
That is because they came from behind to do the double over Arsenal last weekend with a 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium. Declan Rice gave the Gunners a first-half lead before Bournemouth turned things around via Dean Huijsen and then Evanilson.
Aston Villa Preview: Villains pushing for more
Unai Emery and his Aston Villa side begin the 36th match day of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign currently sitting outside of the top six but just three points off squeezing themselves into the top five and the UEFA Champions League qualifying spots.
The Villains edged past Fulham by a goal to nil at Villa Park last weekend thanks to a 12th minute strike from Belgium international midfielder Youri Tielemans. That means they have now won 11 of their last 14 matches across all competitions.

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa Prediction
AFC Bournemouth have been intense and entertaining to watch throughout the season and that style of football is perhaps what saw them fall away through the spring but the Cherries will believe they are back at it now as they take on an Aston Villa side that themselves have been in excellent form of late but the three games they haven’t won of their last 14 were arguably the biggest games against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League, Manchester City in the Premier League and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. This is a game between two sides with something to play for and it should well be quite entertaining for the neutral down on the south coast.
