Bolton vs Reading prediction

After a 2-0 defeat to Stockport County on the opening day of the campaign, Bolton Wanderers then eased past Plymouth Argyle before a humbling penalty shootout defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and then a hard-fought 1-1 draw against a strong Barnsley side at Oakwell, albeit the Tykes were down to ten men for a long time in that game.

They face a Reading side that, following the takeover of the club over the summer, the Royals had a lot of excitement heading into the campaign. The Royals have underwhelmed, though, as they come into this one on the back of collecting no points from their opening three matches and sitting rock-bottom ahead of this match day.

Reading have another tough ask to try and get points on the board this midweek, and Bolton will be expected to come out on top at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

Bolton vs Reading tip: Bolton to win
