Blackpool vs Birmingham prediction

Blackpool have enjoyed an impressive second-half to the season but they have missed out on a top six finish and the playoff places in League One. The Seasiders come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic in a Lancashire derby at the Brick Community Stadium in a game in which they fell behind early before Lee Evans’ 74th minute equalising penalty.

Birmingham City moved to 105 points and just one behind the all-time EFL record points tally set by Reading in the Championship in the 2005/06 campaign as they hammered Mansfield Town by four goals to nil at St Andrews at the weekend before being handed the League One trophy. They will be looking to challenge for promotion in the second-tier next season.

Birmingham have two games to get two points but there may well be a case of physical and emotional fatigue here and siding with Blackpool at Bloomfield Road may well be good value.

Blackpool vs Birmingham tip: Double chance – Blackpool to win or draw
