Auxerre Preview: Steady Auxerre

Auxerre, under the management of Christophe Pelissier, have been very impressive throughout this season with a competitive style of football that has them heading into the final three matches of the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season sitting just outside of the top-half of the table.

The home team come into this one on the back of an impressive 4-0 demolition of Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in the north of France last weekend thanks to goals from Gaetan Perrin, Ki-Jane Hoever and a brace from midfielder Ado Onaiwu.

Le Havre Preview: Struggling Le Havre

Over the summer, Le Havre lost manager Luka Elsner to Stade de Reims but replaced him with former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard but they have struggled throughout the campaign since a bright-ish start to the season.

Le Havre begin the 32nd match day of the campaign sitting third-from-bottom and in the relegation playoff place having most recently shared a respectable 1-1 draw with high-flying Monaco at Stade Oceane last weekend.

Auxerre vs Le Havre Prediction

Auxerre have appeared to let the handbrake off as Auxerre attempt to push themselves into the top-half of the Ligue 1 table. Pelissier has helped them be competitive in the top-flight with a reactive style but they have been efficient and effective on counter-attack quite often. They face a Le Havre side that have shown fight against the drop with their own attacking style of football coming to the surface so we may have an unexpected thriller in Auxerre.

Auxerre vs Le Havre Tip: Over 2.5 goals
