Augsburg have endured some difficult form of late as they slip into the bottom-half of the table ahead of the final day of the season before taking on similarly out of form Union Berlin.

Augsburg preview: Out of form Augsburg
Mid-way through the campaign Augsburg appeared as though they would mount a serious challenge for the European spots in the Bundesliga but they have once again drifted into the middle-of-the-table after a poor run of form in the last month or so.
They come into this one on the back of a 4-0 demolition at the hands of Stuttgart at the MHPArena last weekend due to goals from Atakan Karazor, Nick Woltemade, Enzo Millot and Ermedin Demirovic. They have now won just one of their last six matches.
Union Berlin preview: Out of form Union
Much like Augsburg, Union Berlin head into the final day of the campaign completely out of form with their motivation for the back end of the campaign fairly limited as a result of ensuring their Bundesliga status a couple of months ago.
The capital city club come into this one on the back of being thumped by three goals to nil by Heidenheim at Alte Fosterei last weekend to ensure Heidenheim have avoided automatic relegation from the top-flight. They are winless in five matches.
Augsburg team news: Essende suspended
Augsburg will be without key attacker Samuel Essende for the final game of the season as he is unavailable due to suspension. They also have some key injury doubts for this one such as Noahkai Banks and Mergim Berisha.

These are two sides drifting towards the end of the Bundesliga table with little to play for and that has shown in their performance level and their results of the last month or so. Even at their best and most in-form, though, they were quite defensive anyway with Augsburg having only scored 34 goals. Only Union, St Pauli and Bochum have scored fewer than them this season and a low-scoring affair with little to play for is to be expected for this one in Bavaria.
