Aston Villa vs Tottenham prediction

This fixture comes at a tricky time for Aston Villa, who are in the middle of their all-English UEFA Europa League semi-final with Nottingham Forest.

Unai Emery's side have it all to do in the second leg of that tie give that they lost the first leg 0-1 at the City Ground, but their focus can not waver here given that they are fighting for a Champions League place in the Premier League.

That is not good news for relegation-threatened Tottenham, who are very much in danger of the drop. Roberto De Zerbi's men finally claimed their first win of 2026 by narrowly beating basement-dwellers Wolves last time out, but they simply have to keep picking up points given that they are still in the bottom three.

Villa may be fighting on two fronts but they haven't had to travel a great deal for their European exertions this time around, which should aid them here. Injury-hit Spurs are desperate at this stage but this is arguably their toughest remaining fixture, so we're siding with the hosts.
