Aston Villa vs Liverpool prediction

Aston Villa have been found wanting in the Premier League of late, perhaps distracted by their UEFA Europa League commitments, but they still have UEFA Champions League qualification in their hands.

This is an intriguing matchup at this stage of the season given that they face the side they are level on points with.

Liverpool have suffered two disappointing results on the bounce, first losing to bitter rivals Man Utd before playing out a 1-1 draw with a horrendously out-of-form Chelsea side.

Serious questions are being asked of Arne Slot right now, and he needs a positive performance from his men here to at least temporarily silence some of the naysayers.

A win for either team would guarantee their Champions League place, so this is unlikely to be an overly defensive affair. We can see both teams finding the net in this one.
