Arsenal vs Barcelona prediction

Widely seen as not only the best club side in Europe but arguably the best in the world when it comes to women’s football, Barcelona now have the chance to win what would be their fourth Women’s Champions League in five seasons. With incredible attacking players such as Alexia Putellas, Caroline Graham-Hansen, Ewa Pajor, Salma Paralluelo and Aitana Bontani, Pere Romeu have an abundance of riches to choose from.

But Arsenal have already slayed one European giant in Lyon despite being down on aggregate heading into the second-leg and Renee Slegers will believe her side can pull off an upset. Leah Williamson led England to EURO 2022 glory as captain and is now looking to do the same with the Gunners in the Champions League. Her and the entire Arsenal backline will need to be at their very best to have a chance.

Barcelona have lost just three games in all competitions across the entire season and thrashed WSL champions Chelsea 4-1 in consecutive legs in the semi-finals. They are truly an incredible team with a winning culture embedded within them. It’s hard to look past backing them to defeat Arsenal in 90 minutes.
